Thank you for you answer.  Clearly something is wrong, and only with Rebel
Century 4.  All other programs (and I do have most) show a nice gain from the
old P3-933 to this new machine.  Actually, I just ran a benchmark position on my
laptop P3-700 and got Century4 to play Rxg7+ (old Rebel 10 benchmark) on ply 10
after 77 seconds.  Then, the P4-3.06GHz (with "Strongest settings" enabled!)
took 125 seconds doing the same thing...  Amazing.  This on a machine where
Crafty 19.02 typically reaches 1350 KNps in early middlegame...

I am intrigued and will try to look some more, thanks again.
