I've have been visiting this board for a little over two years now, and can honestly say that I haven't seen one meaningful post (other than hashtable size) about Fritz 6, 7 or 8 engine setting tweaks that effect performance. I have asked a few myself, and have also seen many people like you ask as well, only to get the cold shoulder. However, if your question involves Chessmaster engine settings, you will generally receive several helpful responses in quick time. Perhaps in the near future, someone with time and resources will test the effects of various engine tweaks on the Fritz 7 and 8 series engines and provide the results here at CCC.
