How can you stop programs from starting automatically on >start up? Thank you In Win2000, click on "Start", then on "Programs", then on "Startup". You'll see all the programs set to run on startup (other than programs installed as Services, etc.). When I have a program that puts itself there, (that I don't want there), I just click on the offending programs list there, and drag it out to the desktop and drop it. It will form a nice icon, available for use when needed, but no longer in startup. If you decide to add it back into the Startup group, just double click on the "Startup" listing in "Programs", and the Startup folder will open on the desktop. Now you can click on the icon you want to add to Startup, and drag it back into the Startup folder. Hope that helps. Dave
