I tried to add as many epd checks as possible in nullmover. I check for: * 2 kings available * opposite color to move not in check * for castling: pieces are present * no pawns at A1-H8 or A8-H8 Further I check in the fen for: * Always 8 characters between one section * Always 8 rows so: 7 x '/' * Always colour to move present * Always epfield present * Always Castling rights present * only valid piece characters * It is possible to capture the epfield * ... what else? It takes an hour ... and then it saves days. setepd 2r1k2r/2pn1pp1/1p3n1p/p3PP2/4q2B/P1P5/2Q1N1PP/R4RK1 w q - Error: During setup a position Message: Black longcastling-rights are on, but there is no blackrook on A8 Kind regards, Michel
