the beta version is part of the Rebel12 that is free to download for anybody
for NON commercial use.

if you installed it, just change from rebel.eng into BETA1 - BETA7.

These ae the beta engines.

if you want to have first ideas about the strength:

there are results at the bottom of that page,
with eng-eng fights BETA X versus rebel.eng. See the % of the BETA versions.

engines play on the same machine, same opening with white and black,
same time control.

i don't understand this question.
the version is free for ANYBODY .
I guess later ed will publish later beta versions and also the final version
if he has found out which beta-effort is the strongest.
