I think it is time to organize serious tournaments in America (a.k.a. The Americas). Maybe founding a new organization to take care of the needs of the American programmers, if the world organization is not interested in expanding computer chess throughout the world. I think that it should be a good idea to have computer chess tournaments as side events in the big opens played in US. That would be a terrific exposure for programs, even more than a world ch, I think (100's of possible users are already playing in the next room). Maybe the organization of those tournaments (Continental Chess Association?) is interested in that? Regards, Miguel
