Just in case, q nodes don't count leaf nodes.

you could do a search, I think this was discussed before.

You just implemented it, so I suposse comparing is not so great but anyway, my %
in middlegame positions is 31%.
If I remember well Christophe Theron once said good would be <30%..., but I
don't remember of what kind of qsearch he was talking about, with/without checks
etc. and he is not god, I think Diepeveen mentioned 40%, etc.

Note that even if you don't count leaf nodes, the size of the % of qsearch nodes
does not only depends on the qsearch itself, for example if I use a bit more
nullmove in a place I suddenly get 36% qsearch nodes, and if I relax it
completely I am sure the % would be more.

that's all from me, bye.
