I'm not using IE. Just good old unix command line ftp from Mac OS X. It sure used to work, but hasn't for a while now. It doesn't work from my work either, but I can't traceroute from there because it's behind a firewall and going through an ftp relay. Interestingly, if I do the traceroute from a windows machine, some of the time I'll get the same behaviour as above, and sometimes at hop 12 I'll get 12 * pos3-2.uab.gw.deltacom.net [207.230.79.2] reports: Destination net unreachable. It does seem that I can reach the machine in certain ways (for example, "sftp anonymous@ftp.cis.uab.edu" seems to connect?, but will tell me permission denied when I type an email password. It won't return pings. Regular ftp just hangs: % ftp ftp.cis.uab.edu Connected to juniper.cis.uab.edu. ... and then nothing. I'm stumped. -- Paul
