I love Linux too, but I would like to point out: You can't install ALL security fixes without reboots. When you install a new kernel, a reboot is necessary. My workstation is not completely stable (Redhat 8.0). Sometimes I need to push Ctrl+Alt+Back-space in order to kill X. This will not restart the computer, but restart X, though the result is the same. Your apps will be killed (not servers running in the background). Another thing is the slow boot into Linux (Redhat), compared to Windows XP. It shouldn't take that long. > >Why anyone would poke themselves in the eye every day using Windows is beyond my >comprehension. > Martin.
