Shredder 7 is sold as a single CD. The multimedia CD is missing, but apart from
this it is identical to Fritz 8. The program itself, ChessProgram8.exe, is
identical, only the chess engine is different.

On the other hand, Shredder 7 is shipped with not only the Chessbase GUI, but
also with a second GUI, "Shredder Classic". This is a nice alternative to Arena,
if you only intend to use UCI engines. This GUI also offers several unique
features for analysis of endgame tablebases. (For instance, "Find the longest
distance to mate in KRP-KP" or "Find the longest distance to mate in KRP-KP when
the white pawn is on a2").

As for Junior 8... my guess, based on past experience with Chessbase, is that it
will also be sold without the multimedia CD.
