I'm surprised you haven't seen this happen. It's one of a list of related bugs
that have been in the GUI since Fritz 5. It's all to do with the little boxes at
the top of the engine window being created too small for the text that has to
fit in. Although the bug happens very often anyway, do the following to provoke
it:

Let an engine analyse a position with Alt-F2 (preferably a fast thinker like
Goliath Light or Fritz 5.32). When the count gets up to 90,000 kN, close the
pane and re-open it by pressing CTRL-ALT-E twice. When the pane is opened the
second time the node count box will have shrunk even more.

Related errors are:

1. In an engine tournament long engine names (such as "InmiChess") will blink in
and out of the box, or maybe they will shrink in and out of a smaller font.

2. If the long algebraic notation is used (eg, Ka1-a2), when the move number is
greater than 99 the move being thought about will shrink in and out of a smaller
font during the engine's thought.

3. The horizontal scroll bar doesn't work properly when the lines displayed are
long, especially if they are being displayed in ling algebraic notation.
