I agree with what you say.
I would like to add that it is possible to find good replacements for almost all
the Windows application everybody is using.
For those apps that do not have a Linux replacement yet, Win4lin does the job.
You can start your Windows applications on the Linux desktop, they run very well
and at native speed!
