Is a new star born? We talk about a new CM9_X setting that - after 484 games [40'/40, ponder=off, remis.ctg, mostly Ath 1.3/64 MB hash] - has achieved excellent results. We have played matches about 50 games each. Still running are the matches vs List 504, Nimzo 7.32 and SOS.3 for Arena. And still to be played are the matches vs Aristarch 4.4, Crafty 19.03 and Yace 0.99.56. We take it however for granted that CM9_X is not going to lose one single match, because there is no other program to deal the amateur engines in such a respectless manner. The new setting has been created after running tests over many months with very different other settings. And the CM9_X will be published as soon as all matches [14 matches = 700 games] have come to an end. We [Rolf Bühler and myself] are simply excited about the performance of CM9_X. Es werden/wurden jeweils Matches über 50 Partien gespielt. Noch nicht beendet sind die Matches gegen List 504, Nimzo 7.32 und SOS.3 for Arena und gespielt werden müssen auch noch die Matches gegen Aristarch 4.4, Crafty 19.03 und Yace 0.99.56. Doch wir sind uns bereits heute sicher, dass CM9_X keinen dieser Wettkämpfe verlieren wird, sondern das unglaubliche Score von 60 % gar noch erhöhen wird. Denn es gibt keine Engine, die mit den Amateuren respektloser umspringt als TheKing 3.23 X. Das neue Setting enstand nach monatelangen Tests mit unzähligen kleinen/grossen Änderungen der Parameters. Wir werden es publizieren, sobald alle 50-Games-Matches [total also 700 Partien] gespielt sind. Rolf Bühler und meine Wenigkeit sind schlicht begeistert über die bisherige Leistung von CM9_X.
