At the ICGA website 'ICGA_W' at www.icga.org ... under 'Losing Chess' ...

you can find formulae with which you can calculate the number of
endgame-profiles with/without Pawns and having 'w-b' men, including the Kings.

Then you need to know what Eugene has done:

- all 3-to-5-man EGTs
- all 3-3 and 4-2 pawnless endgam eEGTs
- and now a few 6-man P-endgame EGTs

I stress-tested my BT_Openworld ADSL connetion the other day by d'loading KQBKRB
in six parts at about 60KBytes/sec. The WILHELM MD5sum-test said it came across
the wire ok. Call me old-fashioned, but that's 4GBytes of 'v impressive' to me.
'Respect' to Eugene, Rob Hyatt, BT, Rafael Andrist and my computer
manufacturer.

Btw, in Cambridge the other day, I heard that 'file-shipping' was the #1
Internet application these days ... and that the average distance a byte of
information travels on the internet was 5Kms - which was a bit of a surprise.
That is to say, local communities are shipping large files amongst themselves.
