I've received some emails requesting the settings for my Rebel personality and to also play it against bet1.eng. I originally played against beta5 because of the results previously posted here that beta5 was doing well. I'm currently running Hex1.eng vs Beta1.eng on a 2400+ at game/30 minutes. The early results are 12-6 for Hex1.eng. Hex1 has only lost one game out of 18. Hex1.eng was born out of many other personalitys devoloped using the original rebel xp for dos over the last 4 months. I added some of the newer pruning parameters introduced from Rebel 12 (misc_23,25 and 37). Just a side note. I tried the SMART eval setting but from my limited testing found that increasing the knowledge parameter between 150 - 300 worked better. Also, boosting the attractiveness and aggresive settings slightly improved tactics without hurting the engine vs engine competions. Have fun with this great free program. Expore Rebel's other features(database, analysis of epd files, game to clipboard ...). Here's the personality. Use it, improve it or trash it.
