Nimzo 8 - Ikarus 0.18 (game in 25, p4 2.47ghz) [d] 2r1nrk1/2qn1pp1/p1b1p2p/1p2P3/7R/1BN1B2Q/PP3PPP/3R2K1 w - - 0 28 I found that of all programs Nimzo 8 is probably the best tactical program. In this position it instantly finds Bxh6 and gives it a +4 score in less than 1 second. Other programs (Fritz, Shredder etc..) does not realize it until after 30 seconds or so. With this in mind, why Nimzo 8 doesn't achieve better results is still puzzling to me.
