thanks! now i have some reference. what is the best way to get started? i have
downloaded source code for Arasan and some other software. Is it best to get a
look at coding techniques from here?

i am mainly working on this program to improve my C++ skills. Currently i am a
Powerbuilder programmer with some C experience. i am quite unfamiliar with
concepts such as hash tables, minimax, alpha-beta etc.

any suggestions on how to get started?

thanks!
