Actually Uri I think chessbase only claimed that Deep Fritz 7 was stronger than Fritz 7 on a single processor system. I do not think they intended to claim that it was stronger on one processor than on a dual. Chessbase specifically advertises an 85% speed increase from single to dual cpus. And, in fact, Deep Junior 7 admits to being 5% weaker on a single cpu system than Junior 7. That alone tells me that it was designed with dual processors in mind. Perhaps not all users can afford dual processor units and most honestly don't need them playing human vs. machine. I am speaking strictly from the standpoint of someone who purchases chess software to play machine vs. machine. Now that Fritz 8 is released there is no reason why someone with a single cpu system should pay 99$ for deep fritz 7 when they can buy fritz 8 for half the cost.
