I have tried Vmware Workstation to play Rebel in Winxp. It works as an operating system within another operating system. It works very fine. I have Win98 installed into it. I can from there play Rebel in Dos, but you must boot into Dos. If you try to play Rebel in Win98 you get two mouse pointers, neither of them working. The best feature is that you can suspend Vmware when you have Rebel open and then resume in about 10 seconds when you open Vmvare from Winxp. Ready to continue playing at once, without new booting. It has never crashed for me. It seems very stable both in Dos and in Win98. If you want to save harddisk, you can install only Dos in Vmware to play Rebel. I tried Fritzmark in Winxp and compared Fritzmark in Vmware. In Vmware it is about 25 % slower. The strength is of course still more than enough for most of us. I have it as shareware working as evaluation. The price is the disadvantage. It costs 299 $. You must be very fond of Rebel if you buy it only for Rebel. But I can guarantee that it works perfect if you can afford it and accept that it goes a little slower. Georg
