I ran the game, fairly quickly, through Chessmaster 9000, on a P3-733, and here
are some notes:
-- After 13...a3, CM9000 has you down by more than one pawn in evaluation.
-- CM9000 would have played 14...Bd4! and I think this might be the turning
point....
[D]r3r1k1/1pp2pp1/2np1q1p/p1b1p3/2P1P1b1/PP1P1NPP/1B3PB1/R2Q1RK1 b - - 0 14
-- After 17...Ra2, you're down about 0.5.
-- The scores get drawish after Fritz plays 21...Bd4.
-- After 27...Bh7, CM9000 has you up by 0.58 -- but only if you had played
28.b5....
[D] 4r1k1/1pp1rppb/3p1q1p/8/pPPpPPP1/P2P3P/1R1Q2B1/5RK1 w - - 0 28
-- After 31...Qe6, CM9000 has you up by 0.92 -- but only if you had played
32.Bh3.
[D]4rk2/1pp1rppb/3pq2p/8/pPPpPPPP/P2P2Q1/5RB1/5RK1 w - - 0 32
-- On the next move, 33.Qh3 has a score of 0.65 for White. But you were probably
so excited about the possibility of getting a draw that you were happy to trade
queens.
-- After the big tradeoff, ending with 39.Rxf5, CM9000 has a score of 0.31 for
White, seeing that you might be able to get a passed a-pawn after 39...Ke7
40.Rb5....
-- And, finally, there might have been winning chances for White with 42.e5 dxe5
43.Rxe5 Kd6 44.Rd5+ Ke6 45.Rxd4....
[D]7r/1pp1kp2/3p4/5RP1/pPPpP3/P2P1K2/8/8 w - - 0 42
...and who knows what your clock(s) looked like then.... :-)
All in all, an excellent moral victory!!! Congratulations!
