Subject: Tests between programs.

Hi,

1.When I ran some tests between two programs,in some sitiuations, they just
move back and forth without repetition for several moves. This usually happens
in the early endgame. In many cases, the superior side is going to win because of
space advantage . But it need some special tactics eg. piece sacrifice to gain
passed pawn or king penetration to specific squares.
How to fix the problem?

2.I made change in eval() to a new complicated one. It is slightly slower but
shows improvement significantly in medium searching depth. But,with increasing
depth the improvement becomes smaller and insignificant.
How to explain this?
Then which eval() is more suitable?

3. In order to have more variation in moves. Is it good idea to make minor
change in evaltables between games?

Thanks for your comments.

Best regards,
Teerapong
