I have noticed that some of the software like Crafty and Fritz modify the opening book based on the history of wins or losses. In other words they will play a opening again if they tend to win at it a lot. I think they do this by some point value from a history of playing that particular opening. I was wondering if it would help to have a persons rating put into the systems with each game (if they had one) so that wins and loss evaluation could be waited. The reason I say this is because as a 1800 player I don't think a computers win against me is as important as it would be against a master. Has then been tried before and if not why?
