While i was writing the above my friend came on instant messenger and said she
was going to buy a_new_ P4 2.4 GHz for 900.00 from Gateway. She uses hers on the
fritz server as well. My advice to_her_was to buy the Athlon 2400xp. She is on a
limited budget and the Athlon 2400xp is a_far_better option than buying an
outdated p4.(and far faster) :-) In her situation I would never go with the
Intel if I had a limit on what I could spend.
