Charles - he's referring to the "original" King that was in the R30, a dedicated unit versus the ps2 chessmaster , which is also a "king" engine - but I'm not sure which one. At one time (10 years ago), the R30 was one of the strongest machines available (stronger than the P486 of the day running chess programs - once P66 and P90's came out - they were stronger the than dedicated units with the top programs). So the question is not one of playing the strongest engine - but simply is the ps2 chessmaster stronger than R30. An interesting question.
