chess strength of the programmers is not important.

chess strength can be also a result of being able to imagine clearly the
position some plies later so not always the better player is the player who
understands more about chess and the problem in chess programming is also to
define the knowledge that you know in a way that a computer understands and
often strong players do not know it.
