Both sides evaluated the position out of book as better for Ruffian and even at move 18 the position was evaluated as better for ruffian. I did not looked at the game but it seems based on only watching the pgn that shredder7 simply outsearched Ruffian and the nominal depth is not important. I see in the pgn the following information for moves 18-19(scores are always from white's point of view). 18.Bd3 -0.29/10 Nb4 (Nxd3) -1.54/11 19.Bxh7+ 1.73/10 Kh8 2.25/12 It seemed that shredder already saw the tactical win of 19.Bxh7+ when it played 18.Bd3 so it expected Ruffian to play better(Nxd3 that prevents the sacrifice) Uri
