It is more than understandable that chess players from the former Soviet Union
want financial security after they lost a whole system of fantastic support for
their sport. But then they are not yet as corrupted as most Western players so
that has the odd effect that after they raked a million for notting <cough> they
have a kind of bad conscience when they meet their fellow partners in the usual
business. So that has the described effect that they might spend a couple of
(half) points always having in mind that they are still the (real) winners at
the end of the year. In short, that does simply suck the fighting spirit that
accompanied them for their whole career. There are only two solutions. Either
they understand chess as a sort of aristocratic passtime or they go the
perverted road for gamblers. If you observe them who live distributed over the
whole world now, you can easily detect the categories. Political correctess
forbids me to enter deeper into that topic. But for whom who knows to read it
should be clear who can profit from such extraordinary times and who might
stumble. Personally I do feel great compassion with those in the former chess
empire who spent their life for the education of later chess genius. They are
f*** all over in special in their old age. But all these young "buccaneers" (up
to the generation of one Kasparov!) of chess would be nothing without the
efforts of those heroes!

Let's not forget them! And bigmouths like Kasparov should create a support fond
instead of spending points to ease their conscience!
