On my AMD 1400, Chess Tiger 14 announces Mate in 9 after it makes the move B-a4.
This in 5 seconds. I guess that much progress has been made in 17 years. I will
wait five years before I get a computer that can announce the mate in 10 in 0.3
seconds.
