Not a good test move, I'm pretty sure. After 30.e4, Black played the blunder
30...Qxb6?? After 30.e4, Chessmaster 9000 gives an eval of about 0.25 for White.
Immediately after 30...Qxb6, the eval is 3.5 for White, and after a little over
a minute (on a P3-733), the eval is 8.14 for White!!

In the initial position, Chessmaster wants to play 30.Bf1 and then 31.e4:

So, e4 may be a good move, or even the best move. But it certainly doesn't win
"in a few moves"....
