Mike,

finally two points.

1) how I can combine the engines like crafty with the Thompson CDs, that I have?
Ok for Fritz engine it is clear with the little tool, but crafty or others?

2) to the other idea you missed my idea that in 20 years the engines understand
chess and jump to the start of a combination or reasonable line. You know what I
mean? That would be fantastic for the learner. Slow: you pick a move in a
notation, then a pop-up opens with engine showing the moves of a little line
leading to the move you clicked on.
