I couldn't get the French program to play chess without major bugs.

The second program, Minimaxe, was bug-free, finally beating my old Radio Shack
dedicated computer, on a low level. To run it in QuickBasic (PDS 7), you need to
change every word referring to "white" and "black". I changed them to "light"
and "dark", respectively, and no problems.

Thanks to the posters and authors. While the first one is SO reminiscent of the
spaghetti code of yesteryears still - I had to smile.

Minimaxe was obviously well thought out.
