During the recent match between Deep Junior and Kasparov Shay Bushinsky had a discussion with FIDE-president Ilyumshinov on the possibility to have a computer team starting in the Chess Olympiads. The next Chess Olympiad will likely be in fall 2004, and in case of a computer team participating the computer chess scene and ICGA should be well prepared. The next computer chess world championship will be in November 2003, in Graz. My proposal is to announce already now (i.e., well in advance) that the first four places of Graz should have the right to play in the computer team - if there will be one in the 2004 Chess Olympiad. Such an announcement might also help to make the Graz tournament a really highest-calibre event. Ingo Althofer.
