To use Yace with Fritz 7 or similar CB interfaces as an UCI engine, you have
to update the GUI. Note, that the GUI will crash with some versions of
uci.dll (part of the CB software). In my tests, version 1.0.0.10 of uci.dll
seemed reliable. But you cannot set up the bitbase path with that version.
I guess, we can expect a newer version of uci.dll soon, which will fix the
problem.

Chessbase is aware of the problem, and for Fritz 8 a fix is awaited soon. For
Fritz 7, perhaps the only fix will be to use the above mentioned version of
uci.dll. I have no easy way to fix the problem myself. I also cannot provide a
working version of uci.dll.
