Hello Dave,
Been there, done that.  Apparently when you exceed the limit it will no longer
operate on the database.  I have selected some games to delete at the beginning
and at the end of the database with no luck.  Seems like if you are going to
exceed the limit when saving some games you should get a warning but not with
Fritz.
