Subject: To Ed Schröder (remarks about Rebel 12)

Hello Ed,

thanks again for your latest update to Beta 1.01.

I´d like to make a few suggestions for Rebel 12:

1) it seems you didn´t find the problem with your compiler, because
the latest rebel.exe still has this huge size of 5MB.
I´ve written a small program (RebelFix.exe), which solves this problem
and cuts off this unnecessary overhead of about 4MB of 0-bytes from
rebel.exe - if you are interested in this file, let me know and tell me
your email-address, so I can send this file to you

2) would it be possible for you to change the move sound in Rebel12 from
this (under native DOS!) really annoying ASCII-7-code (^G, console signal)
to a short and nice beep?
(This surely wouldn´t be more than 1 or 2 lines of extra code)

3) if there will be some further _beta_ version in the future (before
releasing the final Rebel12), it probably would be a good idea to
make the download file a little smaller - i.e. it should only consist
of the newer files that have changed since the last version.
(For beta 1.01 this would have been a download of about 800k instead
of 4,2M - yes, there are still internet users with only standard modem!)

Wishing you all the best in your further Rebel development,
Franz.
