Yes, but Pocket Fritz (in version 1.0 even) has this useful Tactics Training mode that will throw problems at you from a PGN database (a problem set is supplied, but you can replace the file with your own) - a feature I use constantly as I need tactical practice so badly. :-) It was this, plus the much greater speed of Pocket Fritz at the time, that made me switch from a Palm with Chess Tiger to a Toshiba e740 myself. The ability to swap batteries and put a large capacity battery on the e740 is useful as well. Frankly, I think the Pocket PC stinks overall compared to the Palm as a PDA. But for chess, for me, it seems a better choice. If Chess Tiger had a similar tactics training option though, I'd certainly be going back to an ARM Palm for my next PDA purchase. -- Paul On February 27, 2003 at 02:32:52, Christophe Theron wrote: > >You could also toss out PocketPC and go for the market leader: PalmOS! > >The Palm Tungsten-T and the Sony NX70 offer ARM processors now, and terrific >high resolution screens. > >On PalmOS you will find yourself in good company, with ChessGenius >(http://www.chessgenius.com) and Chess Tiger (http://www.chestiger.com) for >example... > > > > Christophe
