If you setup Yace with the WinBoard adapter it is likely that 1 0 is just too fast for it. Try some 2 0 games to see if it works better. I would advise to set it up as an UCI engine anyway though. > >Yace is running as Winboard engine... i couldn't setup it as an UCI engine >(somehow it crashes)... is it a UCI.dll bug? This is possible - some versions of the UCI.dll were quite buggy. Try downloading the latest one from http://www.chessbase.de/download/index.asp?cat=UCI%2DEngines and see if it works better. To my experience this version still has some problems - an old version 1.0.0.10 runs most stable for me, but it isn't availlable for download. > >Can I setup the bitbase for Yace under Fritz GUI ? Yes, you can. But it can't be done in the Fritz GUI. You have to create a file yace.ini, put it in the same directory as the yace.exe and put bbp=C:\bitbases in it (change C:\bitbases to the directory where you have saved the bitbases). If you have them in the same directory as yace.exe you can simply put bbp= . Peter
