I've been using it since version 6.0, and for Crafty it produces the fastest executable of any compiler I have tried. I have the old gcc 2.95.2 that was the best for Crafty until Intel's compiler. And I have the latest gcc on redhat 8, and neither can beat the intel compiler for executable speed (again, for Crafty, YMMV on other programs).
