"My System" is not easy to read (archaic expressions) and even tougher to comprehend. Instead, the books Dan listed above are more practical for the modern player, especially since Nimzovich was far too extreme in advocating notions such as "blockade" and "prophylaxis", etc. In fact, Nimzovich was about the most dogmatic author/player I've seen. The Rubinstein book is an interesting suggestion, because he and Nimzovitch were at the opposite ends of the philosophical spectrum. Nimzovich was a "Hypermodern" advocate while Rubinstein was 100% in the "Classical" school. If you want something to give you a view of the "Hypermodern" philophy, read Keene's book on Nimzovich. It was one of Raymondo's few good books. All the best, Stephen
