Typically royalties that go not only to programmers, but also artisits,
sound engineers and anyone else contributing to the project, total 1.25% of
gross sales to retailers and wholesalers.

Those 4 million copies have taken 10 years to sell, and have included
every platform from the Atari St, to the Super Nintendo.
