I tried it and decided not to continue with it. It is quite a nice package,
although the gui is a little dated. However I had a number of problems when
trying to compile my chess program which lead me to the conclusion that the C++
implementation in Watcom is very old, from the mid 1990s approximately.

For example, it doesn't handle the 'new' scoping rule that applies to the
following style of for loop:

for (int i=0; i < N; i++) {
   do_stuff;
}
// now i should be out of scope

Also, I couldn't find any support for 64bit integers.

For my purposes GCC is much better and I found a nice IDE wrapped around GCC for
Windows at www.bloodshed.net.

cheers,
Peter
