The duel in Bahrain ended to 4-4. Today played in Linares ua. Kramnik vs. Ponomariov. I analyzed the game for the following reason: [D]3r1rk1/2q1b1pp/p2pP3/1ppQ4/5p1P/2P5/PPB3PK/R4R2 w - - 0 1 Analysis by Fritz 7: 28.Dh5 g6 29.Lxg6 hxg6 30.Dxg6+ Kh8 31.Dh6+ Kg8 32.Dg6+ Kh8 33.Dh6+ Kg8 34.Dg6+ Kh8 35.Dh6+ = (0.00) Tiefe: 12/29 00:00:30 7421kN 28.g3! = (-0.12) Tiefe: 12/35 00:00:57 15088kN 28.g3! = (0.16) Tiefe: 13/35 00:04:18 73876kN 28.g3 c4 29.Txf4 Txf4 30.gxf4 Dc5 31.Dxc5 dxc5 32.Kh3 Td2 33.Tc1 g6 34.h5 = (0.13) Tiefe: 14/40 00:11:39 204945kN I wanted some Fritz Engines because of the strange behavior, first 0,00 then g3! but for the time being with minus evaluation -0,12 examine. Before I could take however another Fritz engine (F8), since Kramnik played already g3 and Ponomariov pushed its Pown further forward. That looked in such a way: Kramnik - Ponomariov [D]3r1rk1/2q1b1pp/p2pP3/1ppQ4/7P/2P2pP1/PPB4K/R4R2 w - - 0 1 Kramnik played now Rxf3 an game end draw. Fritz 7: 3r1rk1/2q1b1pp/p2pP3/1ppQ4/7P/2P2pP1/PPB4K/R4R2 w - - 0 1 Analysis by Fritz 7: 29.h5 Tf6 30.Txf3 Th6 31.Tf7 Te8 32.Te1 Dc8 33.Lb3 g6 34.Ld1 ± (0.88) Tiefe: 11/30 00:00:15 3660kN 29.h5 Tf6 30.Txf3 Th6 31.Tf7 Te8 32.Te1 c4 33.Te4 g6 34.Th4 Db6 ± (0.94) Tiefe: 12/30 00:00:26 6952kN 29.h5 c4 30.De4 g6 31.hxg6 Dc5 32.gxh7+ Kh8 33.Dd4+ Dxd4 34.cxd4 d5 35.Kh3 b4 36.Kg4 ± (0.84) Tiefe: 13/33 00:00:59 16857kN And indeed should white somewhat better. Is Fritz the WM Kramnik now already ahead? Or did Kramnik continue to see as Fritzchen, i.e. that it is enough after exchange of some figures because of unequal-colored runners only to a Remis?
