All >I'm saying is that everyone uses his chess engine(s) of choice in different >ways. The answer is obvious. Frans Morsch tries to improve his engine regarding to practical play. If the new engines perform worse than old engines CB would have a problem. If the new engines are not as good for analysis than old ones they have no problems at all. Sad but true. Almost all average users who dont buy everything look at ratings and then decide to buy the programs with the highest ratings and a decent GUI. If you are interested in this rather meaningless positions of course feel free to analyse them with your engine. However you wont learn anything important to improve your play. This is of course only a minor update. the big improvements will come with Deep Fritz 8 and Fritz 9. Eduard ist zu sehr fixiert auf Fritz. Andere Programme haben auch schwächen in der Analyse und ich habe schon einige Beispiele hier gepostet. Michael > >Personally, I'm very thankful to Eduard for his work in testing new engines.
