derek, i am not sure what damaged your program. i am glad you could reinstall. others apparently were not damaged- i might threfore surmise that the problem rested in the transmisson of the program to you. thisis an official upgrade with a new build of the fritz engine build 25. the last unofficial upgrade is published on disk in CB magazine 92. I believe it contaains engine build 19. and since you work from the original disk that is build 8. the front cover of the printed manual inside your dvd case for fritz8 near the bottom prominently displays a serial number which you will need to log on to fritz server to get the new version. i assume this is some method to cut down on software piracy. I feel am saddened that you might hold me personally accountable for whatever problems you suffer with software here. at best i consider the information i might give people to be enabling, but alas i am just a guy like you.
