Well Now I did it. I use Fritz "only for analysis" and now I learn it is not suitable for deep positional analysis. I did not follow Sarah's recommendations all of the way :). I did rename GUI8.iup as GUI8.iup old. I found the upgrade exec. (IUpgrade.exe) file in chessbase/chessprogram8. I also copied GUI8.iup old there. The problem I see is I did not save the earlier update engine. Question: Can I remove GUI*.iup from there and execute the upgrade executable. Question: Can I unload F8 and reload it and execute the old save up date. If that don't work what can I do to get the best version engine back for analysis. ? Thanks Wayne
