there's no contraversy. no one claims the earlier build is better. people here test chess engines, evaluate their strengths and weaknesses and share their discovery with others. that we know problems and show them means programmers can improve. there is no argument that newer is worse perhaps you need to lurk here a little longer before you judge the writers.
