This is very interesting Kurt, also very time consuming. Any idea how long till
completion?. Typically I think from what I've seen myself about 10 days per 100
which would be 80 days or so. A lot of conclusions would be able to be drawn
from so many games. Shame you can't also do the same thing again in autoplay!.

Already the results somewhat surprise me as most engines have a lot of trouble
with Fritz. Do you intend to make the game available?, when?. I'm just planning
to let my remis.ctg learn from them so as I can draw more on playchess ;-)

I did see the previous posts but didn't comment, but only now notice the 64 Mb
hash size at 40'/40 do you think that's enough?. Assuming 1-1/2 mins per move
based on a few opening moves that would be roughtly 230 Mb. Or even assuming 1
min move 156 Mb.

I'm not sure of the top of my head what size hash the SSDF use but assume it
would be about 288 Mb using 1.2 Ghz. Not sure what your maximum hash or
available ram is nor the effect on each program performance whether it was
relative or not. Assuming you have 256 you should be able to use a lot more than
64 Mb as ponder=off.

Typically myself at 40/40 I've only been using 128 mb or so and now see the
effect of my new processors on that number which in my case should be 385 Mb.

Could you also say which interface your playing in Shredder 7 or Fritz 8 or an
earlier version?. And whether all games are run in that interface?.

Thanks.

Sarah.
