You're probably right, at least I hope so because I've spent a few pennies on
chess software over the past few years!

My post was more about analysis lines rather than moves per se and how the
*full* line(s) of engine analysis seen should not be taken as a given.  I think
what you and I do is the same thing - take the first few moves of the engine's
line and test that before adding another few etc to build up a line until a
point/plan is proven to work or not, or until the position is sufficiently
unclear so as to warrant my disinterest in pursuing it any further or risking
it!  Chess knowledge on the part of the user helps splice these together and
this should prove better than an 'overnight' computer generated line of analysis
where the first few moves in the line may/should well be good but the rest
should be treated with caution.
