why should databases be standardized? they re keyed in by different persons in different countries from different books each emphasizing different ideas and playing with things like move order. when data is too standardized we merely know that mistakes are duplicated and plagiarized. the search for historical truth, which is the focus this thread, can only be conducted through primary sources and not internet hearsay. I recommend website chessarchaeology.com or shektman's 2 volumes of petrosian's games in english to pursue this.
