What the benifits are now is shown in Rebel12 tests
To find out what the best combinations of settings are otherwise will take
years.
Asking  people to test the settings speeds up the procces greatly.
It could be even better if everyone only tested 1 of the settings
Meaning you make a list and check the personality on the list.
on the programmers website when you are testing that personality.
